Finding My Place Across Oceans & Mountains
In my journey from the vibrant shores of Maui in the serene clouds on the side of a volcano, where my beautiful kitty and I found solitude, and finally to the spirited landscapes of Colorado, I’ve danced with the notion of purpose within the tapestry of community.
On Maui, I wandered through days feeling invisible, pondering my place among the faces and spaces that didn’t seem to recognize the contributions I longed to make. It was a season of questioning my value in the absence of being seen or needed.
Nestled in the clouds, on the side of a volcano, my days flowed with yoga, teaching, long walks, and the precious company of my feline companion. It was a chapter of solitude, yet it was adorned with peace—a rare form of self-sufficiency and introspection.
My birthplace of Colorado often welcomes me with the role of service. Yet, in the midst of giving, the echoes of reciprocity fade into the background. The beauty of being needed juxtaposed with the solitude of unreciprocated efforts. It’s a poignant reminder of the delicate balance between giving and receiving.
My work with clients here illuminates my skills and passion, creating a mosaic of meaningful one-on-one connections. It’s a testament to the love I have for being of service, even as I yearn for the same reciprocity in my personal relationships within this community.
As I navigate the intricate dance of being profoundly needed and yet longing for presence, I crave equilibrium. A journey towards relationships that mirror the give-and-take.
In this tapestry of experiences, I find myself living with two opposing truths—feeling valued in my capacity and ability to show up, yet seeking the warmth of reciprocated efforts, especially after everything I have walked through in the past couple of years.
Here’s to the journey of weaving a community tapestry where the threads of service are valued, and contributions are met with appreciation.
