Asking for Time
Under the waning moon in Pisces, an enchanting evening unfolded as we decided to weave a tapestry of magic through music and the creation of a mystical altar. Each of us selected an item resonating with our essence, and as the rhythmic beats of the drum and the melody of our songs filled the air, my mystical companion posed a question: What does the part of you on the altar need?
I had chosen Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, and placed it at the north, whispering my intention – a need for time. The following day, under the veil of Berkeley’s mist, I embarked on a whimsical wander through the campus. Guided by an unseen force, I trailed a distant steeple, initially mistaking it for a church until I drew near and discovered a colossal clock tower.
Seated beneath its imposing presence, I rolled a smoke and uttered prayers. At the tower’s entrance, two bear statues stood sentinel, symbols intertwined with my being – the dream lodge, hibernation, and inner reflection. As I moved away, the bell tolled thrice, marking 3:00.
Descending a few steps, I found myself before a sun dial, the ancient keeper of time. The misty rain continued to guide my steps, leading me to a church steeple adorned with a sizable clock on its face. Later, in the comforting embrace of an Ethiopian restaurant, my gaze turned to the left wall, revealing a colossal clock hanging in silent testimony.
In that profound moment, the realization dawned upon me – a magical sequence of events unfolding in response to my whispered plea. I had asked for time, and throughout the day, the universe responded, revealing symbols and echoes of time that resonated with the very essence of my being. The mystical tapestry had woven a tale where my intention was not just acknowledged but echoed through the enchanting synchronicities of the day.
