An Inspirational Rant on Power Dynamics
A powerful rant this week on power dynamics....
Do you know why I developed the Wise Womb Way and why this way is so important especially now in the times we are in?
Because it takes the power back and gives it to the individual. It doesn't play into pedestals and distorted power dynamics.
It leaves room for sovereignty and honoring of each person's needs.
That sounds so simple, yet it is the core of the issues we are often facing inside of how we relate to one another.
I was just reading yet another article, a story of a woman who was abused by a teacher, the story was so f*cked up I don't want to minimize their experience in any way by speaking to it here but what it activated in me was wanting to have a conversation about power dynamics.
When you put someone on a pedestal you minimize yourself. When you place yourself on a pedestal you minimize another. The Wise Womb Way says, f*ck the pedestal, and acknowledges that we are all here walking the spiral path together.
We are all on different parts of the spiral and we all have gifts and we all have weaknesses and there is no need to give our power away or take another's power because we don't navigate through the world in this way, the way of transactional and conditional love.
This new time calls for a new way both in our actions and our belief systems. This means we must begin to dismantle where we put people on pedestals and come from the understanding that we are all equally amazing and equally f*cked up. As it is said, this reality holds both, you can never be one thing always.
