Today marks the Lions Gate, 8/8, coinciding with a year since the tragic fires on Maui.
My heart aches for what the island endured that day.
My experience of the fires was frightening, but it pales in comparison to what the folks in Lahaina went through.
On this day, I will perform a ceremony to honor the grief, the people and animals that passed, and to celebrate the resilient community that survived and showed up when no one else did.
This moment also signifies a sacred dance between the Sun in majestic Leo, our Spiritual Sun Sirius, and the constellation of Orion’s Belt.
This celestial synergy creates a potent gateway that bridges our physical reality with the spiritual realms.
Sirius, the brilliant star that whispers ancient wisdom and divine insight, illuminates our path with its radiant energy.
As it rises, it amplifies the frequencies of the Lions Gate, inviting us to connect deeply with our inner wisdom and the boundless energies of the universe.

RITUAL
Preparation:
Find a quiet and comfortable space. Gather the following items:
A white, red, or yellow candle 🕯️
A bowl of water 💧
A small dish of earth or sand 🌿
A feather or incense for air 🌬️
A small piece of paper and a pen 📝
A crystal (such as clear quartz or amethyst) 🔮

Opening:
Sit comfortably with your feet on the ground. Take several deep breaths, inhaling through your nose and exhaling through your mouth.
Close your eyes and visualize roots extending from your root into the Earth.
Calling the Elements:
Take a moment to attune to your heart’s intentions.
Welcome the Spirit of Fire by lighting the candle 🕯️ and placing it in front of you, symbolizing illumination.
Welcome the Spirit of Water by placing the bowl of water 💧 to the right of the candle, symbolizing emotions, healing, and the flow of life.
Welcome the Spirit of Earth by placing the dish of Earth or sand 🌿 to the left of the candle, representing grounding and the physical world.
Welcome the Spirit of Air by holding the feather or lighting the incense 🌬️, symbolizing softening and surrendering.
Invocation:
Open your ritual by saying: "Today, on this sacred day, I (name) welcome the energies of the Lion's Gate to gently guide me and gracefully illuminate my path. I invite the elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air to walk with me and aid in supporting this ritual."
Aligning Intentions:
Hold the crystal 🔮 in your hand and close your eyes. Visualize the radiant solar energy enveloping you in a warm, golden light.
Say: "As the Lions Gate opens, I (name) connect deeply with the boundless resonant energies of the loving universe. I embrace this powerful time for setting intentions and co-creating my heart’s desires."
Letting Go:
Write down your intentions or desires on the piece of paper. Be clear and specific.
Hold the paper close to your heart and visualize these intentions manifesting with the support of the cosmic energies. As you write what you desire to co-create, you may notice that something may need to be shed in order to step into this aligned intention.
Say: "I (name) shed the old skins of my past and welcome new beginnings. I step into my highest potential, guided by the luminous energies of Sirius and the celestial alignment above."
Candle Ritual:
Light the paper with the candle flame 🕯️🔥 and place it in a fire-safe dish to burn safely. As it burns, visualize your intentions being released into the universe.
Say: "As this paper burns, I release my intentions into the loving universe. I trust that my dreams will manifest in divine timing."
Calling In:
Take a moment to sit in silence, feeling the energies you have invoked.
Welcome the new energies and transformations into your life.
Say: "I call in the energies of new beginnings and align myself with my highest potential. I am open to the blessings and guidance of the universe."
Giving Thanks:
When you are ready, thank the elements and the celestial energies for their presence and support.
Say: "Thank you, elements of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. Thank you, celestial energies of the Lions Gate. May it Be So & So It Is."
Closing:
Take a few deep breaths and visualize your roots returning from the Earth back into your body.
Extinguish the candle and close the ritual space.
