Guardians of the Threshold
I am writing to you from the beautiful city of Istanbul.
My view is a sunset sky filled with seagulls and rooks, related to crows and ravens, with grey bodies and black heads and wings.
Two prominent mosques stand in the near distance, and at this moment, I hear the call to prayer, adding a mystical presence to the air.
We all walk through many initiations in our lives, and having our unseen guardians to call upon during these times can support us in moving more gracefully through these different transitions.
Thresholds represent gateways between different states of being, realms, or phases of life. They can be physical doorways, symbolic boundaries, or spiritual passages.
Guardians of these thresholds serve to protect, guide, and sometimes challenge those who seek to cross.
They protect individuals from physical and spiritual harm, ensuring safe passage through transitions. Guardians ward off negative energies and entities.
They offer wisdom and direction, helping individuals navigate their journeys. This can involve literal travel, life changes, or spiritual quests.
Guardians may present challenges or tests, ensuring that only those who are prepared and worthy can cross certain thresholds.
They provide comfort and reassurance during times of uncertainty or fear, reinforcing the individual's strength and resilience.
