The Broken Union Between Womb & Heart
My teacher taught that women are two hearted beings: womb and heart.
As a young herbalist and artist, the art I created was influenced by the Goddess, by Earth medicine cultures and women's bodies. I wrote my thesis on the female reproductive system, falling in love with the complexity of our cycles and the intelligence of our anatomy. I even painted a uterus for an art show, back in those early years.
At the time, I was living in a tipi, going to herb school, and apprenticing with two amazing local medicine women. The journey of my studies took me all around the world, studying with some of the greatest teachers of our time.
It wasn't until I arrived in Bali, where I was immersed in a tantric training, that I met the Goddess, the divine feminine being remembered, and realized what had been missing.
The divine feminine force awakened in my body, in my blood, and taught me the sacred ceremony of vulnerability and intimacy.
It wasn't until I returned to my work that I saw how she changed me and showed me what had been missing all along.
I have sat among the greatest teachers of our time, and what was missing was the heart, the essence of the divine feminine, the Goddess.
The weaving of the golden threads through the dark and the light.
The medicine of the heart is what gives us the capacity to take it all in and breathe out love.
We have internalized this approach in how we relate with ourselves, a problem to solve, something to fix.
The Goddess reminded me that the heart is the fire that illuminates the inner landscape so it can be tended with care and compassion.
To be in presence is the greatest gift we can give to ourselves.
You are not broken. You are not something to fix.
The Grail is the sacred vessel of the feminine body. It is the womb held in relationship with the heart. It is the body becoming a place where the Holy can be received, carried, and expressed.
Mother Mary carried the mystery of the sacred vessel. Yeshua revealed the path of embodied love. Mary Magdalene carried the rose of devotion through the body. Together, they reveal the living Grail.
