Priestessing Life’s Sacred Thresholds
Bespoke ceremonies to honor life’s initiations, transitions, celebrations, and sacred passages.
For most of human history, we did not move through the great passages of life alone or pretend they were ordinary days. Birth, first bleed, coming of age, marriage, motherhood, elderhood, and death were witnessed and marked through ceremony. Families and communities gathered around the person crossing the threshold so that what was ending could be honored and what was beginning could be welcomed.
We still cross these thresholds, even when no ceremony exists to meet us there.
A child is born and a mother is born with them. A girl begins to bleed. A marriage begins or ends. You lose someone you love. Your body changes. You survive an illness. Your children leave home. You take a new name. You answer a calling that changes the direction of your life. You enter elderhood. You prepare for death. Life has changed you, and somewhere inside you know that simply carrying on does not fully acknowledge what has happened.
The art of ceremony and ritual gives us a way to meet these passages with our full presence. Ceremony creates a place to honor what has been lived, grieve what has been lost, celebrate what has arrived, and recognize the person you are becoming as you cross from one chapter of your life into another.
For more than thirty years, I have held people through the thresholds of human life, from birth to death and the many initiations in between. I bring the eye of a ceremonialist, the care of a healer, and the presence of a Priestess to the creation of each rite. I listen to what this passage means to you, what has brought you here, what needs to be honored, and what you are ready to welcome as you move forward.
Priestessing Life’s Sacred Thresholds is where we create the ceremony your life is asking for.
We begin with a consultation so I can learn about the threshold you are crossing and what you want the ceremony to hold. From there, I create an experience specifically for you, drawing upon more than three decades of ceremonial practice and allowing the ritual to take its form around the meaning of this particular passage.
Your ceremony may be intimate and private, or witnessed by the people you love. It may honor a joyful beginning, a painful ending, a healing, an initiation, or a passage for which our culture has never given you a ritual. What matters is that the experience is yours and that what has changed in your life is given a place to be seen, felt, honored, and remembered.
Bring me the threshold you are crossing, and I will create the ceremony to honor it.

Who Is This For?
Priestessing Life Transitions
There are passages in life that ask to be witnessed, honored, and held in the presence of the sacred. They change your relationship with yourself, your body, your family, your work, or the life you thought you were going to live. They mark the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another.
Many of these transitions move through modern life without ceremony or recognition. You may know that your life has changed while still feeling caught somewhere between who you were and who you are becoming. Ceremony gives you a place to acknowledge the crossing, honor what has happened, and recognize where you are now.
Some of the life transitions that may be honored through ceremony include:
☽ Pre-Conception, Conception, Pregnancy, Birth & Postpartum
☽ Pregnancy Loss, Miscarriage & Stillbirth
☽ Baby Blessings & Naming Ceremonies
☽ First Bleed
☽ Puberty & Coming of Age
☽ Motherhood & Parenthood
☽ Divorce, Separation & the Ending of Relationships
☽ Menopause & the Passage into Elderhood
☽ Graduation, Accomplishment & Completion of a Major Life Chapter
☽ Career Changes, Retirement & Beginning a New Calling
☽ Moving, Leaving Home & Creating a New Home
☽ Illness, Surgery, Recovery & Healing
☽ Grief, Bereavement & Honoring Loss
☽ Death, Dying, Memorial & End-of-Life Ceremonies
☽ Naming, Renaming & Reclaiming Your Name
☽ Sobriety, Recovery & Reclaiming Life After Trauma
☽ Closing Long-Term Commitments
☽ Entering Spiritual Devotion, Initiation or a New Path
☽ Any passage in your life that you know deserves to be witnessed and honored
Ceremony is not reserved for the transitions our culture already knows how to recognize. You may be living through a passage for which there is no established ritual, yet you know that you do not want to cross it without acknowledging what it has meant.
I create ceremonies for individuals, couples, families, and communities who want to honor these passages with reverence, beauty, and care. We can gather around an ending, welcome a beginning, grieve what has been lost, celebrate what has been accomplished, or create a rite for a transition that is entirely your own.
A rite of passage gives form to the crossing. It allows you to recognize what you are leaving, spend time with the threshold itself, and step into what comes next with the passage witnessed and marked. This pattern of separation, transition, and incorporation is at the heart of the traditional rite-of-passage structure described across cultures.
Bring me the threshold you are crossing and together we will create a ceremony worthy of it.

What To Expect
Ceremony gives you a place to honor a transition, initiation, or threshold in your life. It allows you to pause inside the crossing and give your full attention to what is ending, what has changed, what needs to be honored, and what you are stepping into next.
We begin with a conversation. You share what you are moving through, the history of the passage, what has brought you here, and what you want the ceremony to hold. I listen to what you share, what I hear beneath the story, and what feels most important for us to tend.
From there, I create your ceremony and prepare you for the experience. The ritual, pacing, setting, and way we move through our time together are created specifically for you and the threshold you are crossing. I prepare what is needed beforehand while leaving room for what reveals itself once we enter ceremony.
Your ceremony may take place in the Temple, in your home, or on the land, depending on the nature of the passage and how you want to honor it. You may come alone or invite those you want to witness and share the experience with you.
I hold the ceremony from beginning to completion, giving you the space to be fully inside the experience while what has brought you to this threshold is witnessed, honored, and given its place in the story of your life.
Afterward, I support your integration so you have time and space to tend what moved, what became clear, and what you are carrying forward from the ceremony.

Honoring Life's Sacred Moments
I came to Naomi during my pregnancy because I wanted to do something to honor becoming a mother and welcome my baby. I was excited, but I was also anxious about birth and everything that was about to change.
Naomi created a ceremony that gave me a place to really be with all of it. I was able to acknowledge the fears I was carrying, connect with my baby, and feel the significance of what was happening in my life. I left feeling much more grounded and trusting of myself.
That stayed with me when I went into labor. I remember coming back to the ceremony and to how I felt that day, especially when things became intense. It gave me something real to return to. I still think about it now as a mother.”
— Sarah, Oakland, CA
“We invited Naomi to create a coming-of-age ceremony for our daughter because we wanted her to know that what was happening in her body mattered and was worth honoring. Neither of us had been given anything like that growing up, and we wanted something different for her.
Naomi made it easy for all of us. There was nothing awkward or embarrassing about it. Our daughter felt celebrated and taken seriously, and we were able to be there with her in a way I honestly don’t think we would have known how to create on our own.
What I love most is that she remembers it. It wasn’t just a beautiful day we gave her. She still talks about her ceremony and what it meant to her. She came away from it proud of herself and more confident about this new part of her life. As a parent, that was an incredible thing to witness.” — Elena, San Francisco, CA
“I moved across the country for a new job and was surprised by how hard the move hit me. I had packed everything, said my goodbyes, and done all the practical things you do when you move, but I still felt like part of me was back in the life I had left.
Naomi created a ceremony to help me say goodbye to that chapter. I got to honor the home I had made, the relationships that mattered to me, and who I had been during those years. There were things I hadn’t realized I was grieving until we were in the ceremony.
Afterward, I finally felt ready to be where I was. I could think about my new home and my new job without feeling pulled backward. The move felt complete, and I was ready to begin my life here.” — Anna, Los Angeles, CA

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of life transitions can be honored through ceremony?
Ceremony can be created for nearly any threshold you feel called to mark, including birth and postpartum, first bleed, coming of age, menopause, separation or divorce, grief and loss, illness or surgery, recovery, elderhood, death and dying, the completion of an important chapter, a new calling, spiritual initiation, or a transition for which there may be no traditional rite.
Can I create a ceremony for a transition that is not listed here?
Yes. Some of the most meaningful thresholds in our lives do not have established ceremonies. Bring what you are moving through to our consultation, and we can explore how it might be honored.
Do I need to know what kind of ceremony I want before booking?
No. You only need to know what life passage, rite, or initiation you would like to honor. During our consultation, I listen to what you are moving through and begin discerning how I can best support the passage and create the ceremony for you.
Do I need to be spiritual or have experience with ceremony?
No. You do not need to know anything about ceremony or have a particular spiritual practice. I create the experience around you, what you are honoring, and what feels appropriate for the passage.
How much of the ceremony do I need to plan myself?
You do not need to arrive with a plan. Our consultation gives me what I need to begin creating the ceremony, and I guide you through the preparation so you know what is needed from you along the way.
Can other people be part of my ceremony?
Yes. Your ceremony may be private or include family, friends, or community. We will decide together what feels appropriate for the passage you are honoring.
Where can my ceremony take place?
The location is determined by the ceremony we create together. Depending on the nature of the experience, it may be held in the Temple in Boulder, in your home, on the land, or in another location that supports the ceremony.
How long is a ceremony?
The duration depends on what we create. Some ceremonies may require a few hours, while others call for more time, preparation, or participation from family and community. We will determine what is appropriate during your consultation.
What happens before the ceremony?
My care begins before the day itself. I create the ceremony, prepare you for the experience, and let you know what you need to bring, consider, or do beforehand.
What happens after the ceremony?
Integration is part of the experience. I support you in tending what moved, what became clear, and how you want to carry the ceremony and the passage forward into your life.
Do you travel for private ceremonies?
Yes. I am based in Boulder, Colorado and can travel for ceremonies when appropriate. Travel, accommodation, venue, and other related expenses are arranged separately.
How much does a ceremony cost?
Each ceremony is created specifically for the threshold being honored, so pricing varies according to what we create together. We will discuss the ceremony and your investment during your free consultation.
